Gastronomic experiences in a building steeped in history!
The Löwen was documented as a tavern for the first time in 1375. Over the years, this former tavern developed into the well-known country inn and guest house it is now. It has been in the hands of the Bernhard family for 300 years.
Since January 2007, Marcel and Brigitte Kunz-Wasser have been your hosts in this beautiful house. The hospitality extended to visitors and living tradition that have made the "Löwen” well known far and wide represent an obligation to us and an incentive to maintain and preserve the homely atmosphere for which we are known.
In line with our motto of "Joie de vivre and a sense of well-being”, we offer a range of high-quality, constantly changing, seasonal and striking gastronomic delights. We serve "quality food prepared with love and care”, using primarily fresh and invariably top class ingredients, and for the most part freshly prepared for you in our kitchen from A to Z.
Our staff take great pleasure in serving you in our delightful dining room, parlour and our homely lounge – also in the garden or on the terrace during the summer.
Do you fancy something more down-to-earth, or maybe a light meal with its origins in the big wide world – or is your preference for classic French cuisine? We take great delight in advising our guests to make sure they find exactly what they are looking for.
Wines from all around the world: from Italy, France, Spain, Austria, Germany, the New World or even Switzerland itself – we have a wide selection of exquisite wines in our cellar and would be pleased to advise you when making your choice.
